Online Video Competition Terms and Conditions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") is to set forth the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters between the organizer (the "Organizer") of the online video competition (the "Competition") held on [Website Name] (the "Website") and the persons participating in the Competition (the "Participants").
Article 2 (Definitions)
"Website": Refers to the internet website ([Website URL]) operated by the Organizer for conducting the Competition.
"Participant": Refers to any individual or entity who agrees to these Terms and completes the application process for the Competition.
"Content": Refers to all forms of creative work and related information (including information provided in the application form) submitted by the Participant for the Competition, including but not limited to videos, images, and text.
"Organizer": Refers to [Organizer Company/Organization Name].
Article 3 (Posting, Effect, and Amendment of Terms)
The Organizer shall post the content of these Terms on the initial service screen of the Website or the Competition announcement page so that Participants can easily recognize them.
By applying to participate in the Competition, the Participant is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
The Organizer may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations. If the Terms are amended, the Organizer shall announce the effective date and the reason for the amendment, along with the current Terms, on the Website from at least 7 days prior to the effective date until the day before the effective date. However, if the amendments are unfavorable to the Participants, the Organizer shall provide notice at least 30 days in advance.
If a Participant does not agree to the amended Terms, they may withdraw their application. If the Participant does not express explicit refusal after the notice of the amended Terms and continues to participate in the Competition, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Eligibility and Application Method)
Eligibility requirements shall be [Specify eligibility criteria, e.g., open to residents of X country, age Y and above, etc.], as a general principle. Detailed eligibility requirements will be separately announced in the Competition notice.
Participants must submit their application form and Content through the Website according to the procedures and methods specified by the Organizer within the designated period.

Article 5 (Content Submission and License Grant)
The Participant warrants that the Content submitted to the Competition does not infringe upon any third-party rights, including but not limited to copyrights and portrait rights. The Participant shall bear full responsibility for any disputes arising in relation thereto.
By submitting the Content, the Participant grants the Organizer a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, publish, translate, distribute, perform, display, create derivative works from, and sublicense the Content (including, but not limited to, the submitted video and excerpts from the application form) in any and all media or formats, now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to:
Operating, administering, judging, and announcing the results of the Competition.
Promotional, advertising, marketing, commercial, and other business purposes of the Organizer, its affiliates, partners, and sponsors, related or unrelated to the Competition. This includes use in online/offline advertisements, newsletters, social media promotions, case studies, corporate communications, and future campaigns.
This license grant applies to both winning and non-winning Content. The Organizer has no obligation to use any submitted Content. No compensation, credit, or approval rights are due to the Participant for the Organizer's use of the Content as licensed herein, other than any prizes awarded as part of the Competition.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Participant waives any moral rights (including rights of attribution and integrity) they may have in the submitted Content. The Organizer will endeavor to provide attribution where feasible, but is under no obligation to do so.
Article 6 (Collection and Use of Personal Information)
The Organizer collects and uses the Participant's personal information (such as name, contact information, email address, and other details provided in the application form) for the following purposes:
Competition administration and operation (participant identification, contact, judging, result announcement, prize delivery, etc.).
Providing information about new services, events, promotions, and sending advertising/marketing communications (via email, SMS, etc.) from the Organizer or its selected partners regarding future competitions, products, services, or offers deemed potentially relevant to the Participant.
Internal analysis, service improvement, and record-keeping.
The Organizer shall manage the Participant's personal information securely in accordance with relevant laws and the Organizer's Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy, which provides more detailed information on data handling practices, is available on the Website and forms an integral part of these Terms.
Participation in the Competition requires the collection and use of personal information as described. Failure to provide necessary information or agree to its use for essential Competition purposes may result in disqualification.
By participating in the Competition, the Participant consents to receive marketing and promotional communications as described in section 6.1. The Participant may opt-out of receiving these marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in1 such communications (e.g., an unsubscribe link in emails). Opting out of marketing communications will not affect eligibility for the Competition itself.
Collected personal information will be retained for the period necessary to achieve the purposes stated herein or as required by applicable law, after which it will be securely destroyed, unless the Participant requests deletion earlier and such deletion is permitted by law.
Article 7 (Judging and Winner Selection)
The judging criteria and procedures shall be determined by the Organizer and announced in the Competition notice.
The results of the judging will be announced on the Website or through individual contact.
The right to be a winner is non-transferable.
Article 8 (Prize Award)
The type and quantity of prizes will be announced in the Competition notice.
Any taxes (such as income tax or withholding tax) arising from the prize award may be borne by the winner in accordance with relevant laws.
The Organizer may request additional documents from the winner to verify identity and facilitate prize delivery. Failure to comply without justifiable reason may result in the cancellation of the award.
Article 9 (Participation Restriction and Award Cancellation)
The Organizer may restrict participation or cancel an award, and potentially reclaim any awarded prize, in the following cases:
If the Participant does not meet the eligibility criteria.
If the submitted Content infringes upon the rights of others (e.g., copyright, portrait rights) or if related disputes arise.
If the submitted Content violates public order and morals or contains defamatory content against specific individuals/groups.
If the submitted work has already won an award in another competition (unless permitted by the Organizer).
If the information provided in the application form is found to be false.
If the Participant engages in any other act that is contrary to the purpose of the Competition or interferes with its fair proceeding.
Article 10 (Disclaimer of Organizer)
The Organizer shall be exempted from responsibility for providing Competition services if it is unable to do so due to natural disasters or force majeure events.
The Organizer is not responsible for any disruption in service use or outcomes resulting from reasons attributable to the Participant.
The Organizer assumes no responsibility for the content or veracity of the information and Content submitted by Participants.
Any data communication charges incurred while using the Website shall be borne by the Participant.
The Website and Competition are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Organizer disclaims all liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any damages arising from participation in the Competition or use of the Website.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)
These Terms and matters related to the Competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Specify Jurisdiction, e.g., the Republic of Korea, the State of Texas, USA].
Any disputes arising between the Organizer and the Participant in relation to the Competition shall ideally be resolved amicably through mutual consultation. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be resolved by litigation before the [Specify Court, e.g., Seoul Central District Court] as the competent court of first instance.
Article 12 (Indemnification)
The Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizer, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs,2 and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or3 in connection with the Participant's breach of these Terms, including but not limited to any breach of warranty regarding submitted Content or violation of third-party rights.
